Set achievable goals. Enlist a witness. Tell a family member, a roommate or a friend about your plans, and ask if you can give them regular progress reports. Holding yourself accountable is essential to learn how to get motivated to lose weight, knowing that you are accountable to someone else will keep you motivated and honest.

Track and set up a reward system. Count your calories, miles, and steps, after just one week of walking, you'll rake up tens of thousands of steps that are going to feel mighty impressive! Step on the scale on the same day each week. If you hit your goal, treat yourself to a non-food reward that you truly desire, like a new dress or bag, then you'll want to work harder to earn it.

Donate your big size clothes to your favorite charity. If you still wondering how to get motivated to lose weight, seeing too big clothes in your closet every morning is not going to help, not exactly the confident thoughts that inspire motivation to hit your marks, so donate them and buy clothes that fit the new body of yours and you will want to do whatever it takes to stay in them.
